Psychiatric Problems Another Ephedra Side Effect?
Findings from a new study reveal reports of numerous incidents of psychiatric problems, which include hallucinations, mania and severe depression.
However, it's also noteworthy that two-thirds of the people who reported the problems had pre-existing psychiatric conditions or were using other medications or illegal drugs.
The researchers (led by study author Margaret Maglione of the RAND Corporation) caution that there is not a conclusive link between ephedra and psychiatric problems.
